PRODUCTION
Shooting begins during the production stage. During this brief period, extra staff will be employed, such as a script supervisor to ensure script consistency while filming and a property master to collect and manage any props for your project. The actors' visual appearance will be handled by the hair, makeup, and wardrobe departments, and they will rehearse their lines and block scenes. Your production coordinator will oversee the day-to-day operations and ensure that all auxiliary departments, such as catering, invoicing, and scheduling, have the resources they need to be on schedule. Camera operators and grips will stick to the director and cinematographer's shooting plan, shooting all essential footage.
Setup of the camera and lights
Every shot requires the camera and lights to be set up. This frequently consumes the most time on set, since a camera that is out of focus or a dimly lit set means a wasted picture, so those in charge of these aspects will want to ensure they have everything correctly adjusted before the first take.
Acting direction
Collaboration between Director and Actors is one the main components of film production for the following reason.
Sound recording
The sound of any shot in a movie whether it's conversation, ambient noise, special effects…etc will be captured on set by the sound recordist with the help of the sound crew. After the ACTION call by the director, both Sound and Camera will roll and start recording.
Set design
During the shooting, a production designer heads a team of people that will work on production design and art direction. A film will most likely need more than one set to shoot in, meaning that the team will sometimes need to prepare more than one set in parallel to smoothly execute the project.
Wardrobe, Hair and Makeup
Actors should have their hair, makeup, and costumes done so they're ready to go before their call on set. A hair stylist, makeup artist and wardrobe designer are always needed on set to add the mood and style needed in the film
